Musical with North Korean Defectors

I'm part of the directorial team of a musical being put onstage in August with students who have defected from North Korea.

We are working closely with their school to build a good relationship with the defectors and rehearse with them.

The main purpose of this musical is to help them financially. The tickets to the musical will be sold for money which will go into funding their school and the students' academic endeavors.

Another purpose, though implicit, is to know more about them. These students are our people. They are our neighbors. We ought to know more about each other, and we ought to help each other when the other is in need. This is what our team is striving to achieve. To build good relationships with the students based on mutual trust and respect, and to help them to discover their new talents during the process of being part of a musical.

I have had the honor of writing the script for this musical. Attached below is a final draft.
